About Missi…

I hold a BS in Health Education from the University of Maryland, College Park. I graduated from the Baltimore School of Massage in 2000, where I studied advanced massage and bodywork, anatomy, physiology, and the clinical application of massage. I have also studied and include in my practice healing stone therapy, Reiki (currently a level 2 practitioner and studying for mastery) and trained with Elaine Stillerman for Mother Massage. A Maryland state licensed and nationally certified Massage Therapist with a private practice since 2001, I have also worked in health club and spa settings. I am currently sharing a space with organic aesthetician Shelley Birnbaum, with whom I've worked since 2007. In addition to my work as a practitioner, I have taught the massage certification program at the Holistic Massage Training Institute since 2007.

Currently, I use Biotone's Pure Touch Organics massage cream for my basic massage services. I use a variety of products for my other treatments, all paraben-free.
